CERs

CERs

Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs) are offset credits that represent a real and third-party verified reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases made to compensate for, or to offset, an emission made somewhere else.

These credits are generated under the Clean Developed Mechanism of the UNFCCC’s Kyoto Protocol and can be used for compliance in the EU ETS. One CER represents the reduction of one metric ton of CO2 equivalent - carbon dioxide or its equivalent in other greenhouse gases

AitherCO2 is active in the CERs market as a trader and advisor. AitherCO2 helps businesses in the assessment and identification of high-quality carbon offsets in order to guarantee authentic environmental benefits

AitherCO2's competitive advantage stems from its office in Dakar, through which we have direct control over CDM projects in Africa. This allows us to offer:

  • Projects with a high social welfare impact
  • Attractive credits at low prices
  • Assurance of quality of credits
